Calling Center

Established in 1991 with a staff of 64, the Virginia Relay Center in Norton currently employs 105 Communications Assistants (CAs) and is recognized nationally for its advanced technology and superior call handling.

At the center, each CA processes numerous calls per day. CAs also provide assistance at the customer resource center desk, respond to Relay users’ comments and suggestions and train new employees.

The Virginia Relay Center contributes more than $6 million annually to the local economy.
