Kids Keeping in Touch Through Virginia Relay

A FREE hearing-loss awareness program for teachers and students!

Kids Keeping in Touch through Virginia Relay is a fun, educational hearing-loss awareness program geared toward school-aged children. The program is available free of charge to all teachers, parents and support personnel in Virginia.

Written by an experienced teacher in consultation with hearing-loss experts, Kids Keeping in Touch comes complete with:

Although the program is geared toward children in grades three through five, the lesson plans can easily be adapted to other grade levels.

By teaching students about hearing loss and Virginia Relay, Kids Keeping in Touch helps students develop a greater awareness of and sensitivity to the communication differences between hearing people and people who are deaf, hard of hearing, DeafBlind or speech disabled. Students also learn just how easy it is to make and receive a Virginia Relay call.
