One of the newest Virginia Relay features, Video Relay Service (VRS) makes it possible for sign language users to converse in their native language with the person they are calling. With this feature, users can express real emotions and feelings (similar to a person-to-person conversation) and benefit from increased communication speed.
There are two ways to place a VRS call:

Stop by one of our VRS Demo Rooms, located in various cities across Virginia, to experience VRS for yourself! All calls are FREE (local and long-distance), and staff members will be available to assist you. While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend calling ahead to reserve a VRS station. Children must be accompanied by a parent.

- To call a Hamilton VRS user, dial 1-866-498-4777 and give the VRS interpreter the user name of the person you wish to call.
- To call a Sprint VRS user, dial 1-866-410-5787 and give the VRS interpreter the user name of the person you wish to call.
